Emergency Substitute Plan

In case the instructor needs to be out of class without notice

My Classroom Policies

No food, no drinks, no gum, no candy, no hats, no cell phones out...

The default plan is to let classes continue work on the most recent class project.

All students know how to access the agenda and follow through…if I am conscious and in reach of an Internet connection, I will have updated the agenda for whatever day(s) I am out of class.

Course Pages with Agendas: College & Career | Structured Programming | AP Comp Sci

Other Resources: C3 Activities | SP Textbook | AP Exam Study Resources

Some online projects students can work on if, and only if, agendas are not available:

21st Century Literacy | Computer Scavenger Hunt | Binary Language Activity

In case the network is truly dead AND we have access to a DVD cart ( there is usually one in the Media Center we can use – see Darcy Duffy ), then one of the following works:

DVDs are in office or with Ms. Pelfrey in room G105, ext. 2405.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS - THERE IS NO NETWORK - NO POWER - NO WAY TO WATCH DVD:

I have enough books in my room for every student to borrow one.  Choose books and take class outside to patios and sit no more than 2 students to a table.  Reading Revolution time!!!
